Uttarakhand moves to stop spitting in food, issues norms for eateries

Uttarakhand DGP Abhinav Kumar ordered stricter food safety measures following incidents of adulteration and contamination, mandating employee verification and CCTV cameras in kitchens. Random inspections will be conducted, and street vendors will be monitored. Penalties for violations range up to Rs 1 lakh, supported by CM Pushkar Singh Dhami.
