Zara Larsson presents the Global Woman of the Year for Billboard Italia to ANNA at Billboard’s Women In Music 2025.

Last year, Billboard Women in Music launched their Global Awards to recognize performers making waves in their home communities. I’m Swedish – we do really good pop, I have to say myself. We have Robyn, Lykke Li, Tove Lo, but even so, I was always inspired by people outside of my country, like American superstars like Beyoncé. Shout out to Tina. She’s here tonight. So I love the fact that music and I also love artists and songs that are in completely different languages that I don’t even speak. Like Rosalía. And I feel like music have the power to do that, to make you feel it. Because I feel it. I feel inspired, I feel like moving. And music connects us. So that’s why I feel like it’s so important that Billboard have this amazing initiative to celebrate international performers, and Billboard is thriving from the Philippines to Brazil, from Arabia to Italy, from Canada to Korea. And the family continues to grow with the launch during the past year of Billboard United Kingdom and Billboard Vietnam. So each regional partner has chosen a woman of the year who has made an incredible impression on their community. It’s a wide ranging group of performers that includes Lebanon’s Elissa chosen by Billboard Arabia and Ana Castela, who was honored by Billboard Brazil. Tonight we are lucky to have two global women of the year here in person with us.
