Judge in fatal stabbing case urges young people to ‘stop carrying knives’

Spencer Shumski, 22, has been sentenced to jail with a non-parole period of three years after fatally stabbing a 38-year-old Victorian father who was celebrating his wife’s birthday in 2023. With time served, Shumski will be eligible for parole in May next year.
