The Burst Quad Launcher has been unvaulted in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 with the arrival of Godzilla on Jan. 17.
First added in Chapter 2 Season 5, the Burst Quad Launcher is capable of shooting two rockets at once, while only consuming one rocket. With its extra rocket, the launcher is excellent at destroying structures and forcing your opponents to leave their covered positions. The only problem is, the Burst Quad Launcher is almost impossible to get.
Here’s how to get the Burst Quad Launcher in Fortnite and how to use it.
How to get the Burst Quad Launcher in Fortnite
You can only receive the Burst Quad Launcher by dealing the most damage to Godzilla during the match. The launcher cannot be found in chests or as floor loot at the time of this writing (Jan. 17), but there is a chance that Epic Games adds the Burst Quad Launcher to the Chapter 6 Season 1 loot pool at a later date.
Alternatively, you can hunt down the player who dealt the most damage to Godzilla as they will receive the Godzilla Medallion, which will show the holder’s position on the map.
How to use the Burst Quad Launcher in Fortnite
The Burst Quad Launcher functions slightly differently from your typical rocket launcher.
The Burst Quad Launcher’s rockets are affected by gravity, so you’ll need to account for distance in your shots. Additionally, the rockets will not go in a straight line, as they tend to stray off the path, so it isn’t the most accurate gun out there.
However, the Burst Quad Launcher does shoot two rockets at the cost of one, so it’s great at destroying their cover and pushing your enemies out of their hiding spots. Just make sure to not use it too close to yourself, as you can hurt yourself with your own rockets.
