For almost all of the crews in this year’s Sydney to Hobart yacht race, the 628-nautical mile bluewater classic is their “grand final” — but for Annette Hesselmans and her daughter, Sophie Snijders, aboard Fika, it’s just the qualifier for the Melbourne to Osaka marine marathon.
