The “most senior leaders” in the Queensland police service are the most fiercely resistant to cultural reform and had failed to combat a culture of sexism, misogyny and racism, a review of workplace quality by the state’s Human Rights Commission has found.
The report, released on Tuesday, was recommended by the 2022 Commission of Inquiry into police culture, which found a “failure of leadership” had allowed a culture of sexism, misogyny and racism to take hold unchecked.
