Retiring Matildas great Clare Polkinghorne will start at centre-back in her 169th and final international appearance. Polkinghorne enjoyed a send-off game, with a full celebration of her decorated career, in the first of two matches against Brazil in her hometown Brisbane but will play her ultimate farewell game this evening in Geelong.
This may well also be interim coach Tom Sermanni’s last game in charge of the Matildas, with Australia’s next matches not until the SheBelieves Cup in the USA in February.
